Fauxtique Update: A Recap

A big thanks to all who made it out this weekend for the fauxtique! It was a smashing success, thanks to all of you. And we lucked out and didn't have any rain. Hallelujah! For those of you who weren't able to make it, here's what it looked like:

I made six chalkboard doors and they all sold except this adorable teal one:

(Yes, it's still for sale. I dropped the price to $85.)

I still have plenty available, and will be posting it all within the next couple days. I have chicken wire frames, chalkboards, a mirror (creamy white distressed), an armoire (creamy white distressed and glazed), a few pairs of shutters, and several other items. Check back frequently and email fivetoninefurnishings@yahoo.com if you're interested. And in other good news it looks like this fauxtique is going to be a semi-annual event! I'll probably do another one in March or April. I'll let you know well in advance so you can mark your calendars. Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming!!

Fauxtique Update: The Finale (Sort of)

Thank you to everyone who came and supported the boutique this weekend! It was a smashing success, and despite my utter exhaustion (and I'm not just being melodramatic like I usually am. I'm really and truly beat. Like I just gave birth beat. Well, not that much, but pretty dang close.) it was worth it! Thank you, thank you, thank you for coming! It looks like this is going to be the new way Five to Nine does boutiques. I'll give a full rundown with pictures and explanations tomorrow or the next day, but suffice it to say that I'll definitely be doing this again! And the other good news is I still have lots and lots of really great stuff. I'll be posting like crazy the next couple days so check back often. As for right now, here's what I have:

Contemporary Night Stand: $10

Two-toned Gray Linen Night Stand: now just $65

Teal Chalkboard Door: $85

Restoration Hardware Bench: $125

Remember to check back several times a day. I may just post several items in one posting to save time. Delivery available upon request for an additional fee. Cash, credit, debit* accepted. Email fivetoninefurnishings@yahoo.com.

Four coordinating bar stools from Restoration Hardware: $30 each or $110 for all four

And see that mirror up there? It just turned into this:

Scrolly Chalkboard: $50

Restoration Hardware Bench: $125

And that's just some of it. You're not going to want to miss out! There are lots and lots of great things for sale. Come tomorrow from 8 a.m.-noon. Cash, credit, and debit* accepted.

(*All credit/debit transactions will be charged a 3% fee.)

Fauxtique Update: Part III & A Before and After

Today has been another crazy day. Here are a few more of the things I've finished that will be available for purchase this Saturday (in two days!) from 8 a.m.-noon.

L-R: Black magnetic chalkboard door ($135), white chippy door ($55), Black magnetic chalkboard door ($135)

And here's the other chalkboard door! This one will be $95. No, it's not magnetic.

I also finished a creamy white chicken wire frame and a couple more black distressed chalkboards. Oh, and some teal chicken wire frames. (No pictures. Sorry! They're buried in the pile now and I can't get to them.) Come, come, come! There will be something for everyone, I promise. I have several $1 and $2 items and many things for $10 and under.

And on a slightly different note, remember this cute little bench that was for sale a week ago? One of my favorite clients asked me to paint it creamy white for her and distress it. Here's the end product:

This one is spoken for. Sorry, folks. I'll let you know if she changes her mind...

Fauxtique Update: Part II

As promised, here's a little update on the items I've finished that will be available to purchase this Saturday (Please excuse the poor pictures; I'm spending less time on staging and taking pictures and more time on cranking out more items.):

Two Piece Armoire, creamy white, glazed ($250ish)

French Provincial Bedroom Set. Also comes with a large white mirror that has a scroll on top. Can be purchased individually or as a set. Mirror will be $85 ish, night stand will be $85 ish, desk/vanity will be $125 ish, tall boy dresser will be $215 ish, headboard and footboard (not sure what size; I still need to measure...) will be $100 ish.

A better close up

Ditto

4 Drawer Dresser ($100 ish)

Black Distressed Queen Anne Headboard (only--no footboard) ($95 ish)

Notice the ishes. I'm still not sure on pricing, but it won't be more than what I just wrote and it may be less. This is just the tip of the ice burg, folks. This doesn't include the countless (literally) chalkboards and chicken wire frames I have been working on. And I'm going to go out on a limb and do a teal chalkboard door. It will be the same color as this nightstand:

(I love doing fun colors. They just don't sell as quickly as black and white. But after a gallon each of black and white, I had to do something different. Fingers crossed that it sells...)

Anyway, I'm still working night and day to make sure I have lots and lots of great stuff. I'll do another update on Friday. Remember, this Saturday, 8 a.m.-noon. Cash, credit, and debit* accepted. You won't want to miss this!

(*A 3% fee will be charged for all credit/debit transactions.)

Fauxtique Update: Part I

I've had several people email, call, and text about the sale this weekend wondering if it's still a go. Yep, I'm still planning on it. I've been going into a hyperdrive frenzy and keep bringing home more and more furniture. I don't think I'll be able to get it all done in time, which is good because I'll just set it out as is for a lower price. But don't worry. There will be plenty of good stuff that will be all done up to choose from, including--but not limited--to: a white French provincial bedroom set consisting of a highboy dresser, a desk/vanity/entry table, a night stand, a full headboard and footboard, and a mirror (all pieces have been painted glossy white and have been lightly distressed); the pub-style kitchen table and 4 chairs with a bench (black distressed); a plethora of nick knacks (I.e.: a rustic star, an old laundry scrubber, a vintage pulley, an old doctor's bag); a coordinating crib and changing table/dresser; lots of chicken wire frames in varying sizes, shapes, and colors; and ditto with chalkboards. I'm still trying to get Mr. Five to Nine to do this bench:

We will see, though. Anyway, as promised, no fancy Photoshop invite. Just words. So here's the info:

Location to be announced on Friday*

Remember, nothing fancy. Don't set your expectations too high. No fancy tags, no food, no clearing out my house, no additional vendors...Well, except for Juniper's Loft who will set up her own shop across the street. Anyway, I'm probably going to scale back posting quite a bit this week so I can focus all my time and energy on getting lots of good items ready for sale. I'll do an update every other day or so on some of the things I've finished. And Friday before noon I'll post a good sneak peak with pictures and the exact location. It's going to be good! Mark your calendars...
