Blog Shout-out: Sweet Stax
Have a got a deal for you, all you local readers! One of my good friends has just started a darling new business venture call Sweet Stax. She takes ordinary objects, like glass dishes and candlesticks, and makes these adorable serving dishes. See for yourself:
How perfect are these for Valentine's Day??? These ones are just $7. Yep. As in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. In all honesty, you'd be hard-pressed to make these yourself for that cheap. And look at the adorable colors! Here are a few more of my favorites:
Black Elegant: $10

Two-toned Red and White Heart: $7!
Apple Red Platter: $10
And my favorite of all...
Ballerina Pink Pedestal: $8
Click as fast as you can over to her blog here or just email her straightaway at sweetstaxbylinseymax@yahoo.com. These things are flying off the shelves! And the best part is we live just a few blocks away from each other, so swing in, grab a chalkboard, and then head over and get your very own, one-of-a-kind platter. You won't be disappointed! And what a great (and very affordable, might I add) way to decorate for the holidays.

Blog Shout-out
Today Five to Nine is being featured at Envy My Cooking. I get so sick of cooking the same old things all the time, so I'm constantly checking other sources for new ideas. Envy My Cooking is one of my favorite sites to get affordable, easy, creative recipes. This Baked Greek Chicken was great, and it's so healthy, too:
And, they have giveaways often where they give things like these aprons:

Another great feature about Envy My Cooking is they often post pictures of fantastic kitchens. I have been drooling over this one ever since it came out in Better Homes and Gardens:
But this one is just as amazing and may be my new favorite:

If you don't already, I strongly recommend checking out Envy My Cooking. You won't be disappointed!

Blog Shout-out
The hutch is coming along. It's almost all distressed. I'm just waiting on Mr. Five to Nine to put it all together. In the meantime, I wanted to highlight another local artist. Baby Bizzles is run by my new sewing partner and good friend. She's a sewing genius! Look at all these creative ideas she's come up with for baby accessories. Her flower clips and headbands are killing me; I'm tempted to try for another baby stat in the hopes that I have a girl who can wear these:

And then there are these tiny flowers in the form of binky clips that range from $8-$12:
And my favorite of all is this matching outfit:

For those of you who have boys, don't worry; she's got lots of things for boys, too. Like this adorable tie for only $8:

And this binky clip:

But perhaps may favorite is the infamous sprinkle stopper (I call them pee pee tee pees) that sells for only $7 for a package of three:

Head on over to Baby Bizzles; she posts new handcrafted items all the time, and she has such fun, creative ideas at very affordable prices. If you don't have children of your own, these would be a perfect gift for a new baby; you'd be hard-pressed to find cuter more affordable baby shower gifts than these! For all you out-of-state readers, she offers shipping. And for all you locals, Ms. Baby Bizzles lives just a couple blocks from me, so if you see something you want from both of us, you could easily stop in to both places.
